Alice Dendinger, SPHR
Alice Dendinger, SPHR has over 25 years of experience in the field of human resource management. As a seasoned leader, Ms. Dendinger is skilled at linking HR initiatives and programs to the overall business goals and mission of an organization, thus creating an increase in employee satisfaction and a positive impact to the bottom line. She is a sought after speaker and workshop facilitator within professional groups and associations.
Serving the HR Professional
For over ten years, Alice Dendinger led classes at the University of Texas Continuing Education Program facilitating the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) HR Learning System. She has helped over 925 HR professionals earn their SPHR or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification. As a pre-approved provider of training and development programs through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), she has assisted hundreds of HR professionals in maintaining their certification.
Advancing the Profession
From 2006 to 2008, Alice served as the State Director for the SHRM Texas State Council serving over 20,000 HR professionals throughout Texas and leading a team of over 85 council volunteers. She has contributed to the advancement of the HR profession in Austin as the 1999 Austin Human Resource Management Association (AHRMA) Chapter President and served as a board member from 1995 to 2001. In addition, Alice has served as President and member of the Dispute Resolution Board of Directors, Seton Northwest Community Advisory Committee, DownHome Ranch, People’s Community Clinic and other local and state-wide associations. In 2003, she served as Curriculum Co-Chair with Leadership Austin. Alice is also a Texas Certified Mediator and has helped hundreds of individuals manage and facilitate conflict through mediation and training.
Learning and Development
Alice has an undergraduate degree in Business Management and Marketing as well as a Masters in Communication. Additional education/certifications include: Coach University Graduate, Texas Certified Mediator and DiSC Behavioral Analyst. Alice has continued her education in communication, group facilitation, dialogue and deliberation, conflict management, team development, interpersonal skills, leadership development and 360 assessments.
